On May 30th, at the invitation of Wang Guocheng, an associate researcher at the National Key Laboratory of Precision Geodesy and Positioning, Duan Pengshuo, a researcher at the Shanghai Astronomical Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, visited the Precision Measurement Institute for exchange and gave an academic report entitled ‘Exploring the Physics of the Earth’s Deep Interior from Information on Changes in Earth’s Rotation - Progress in Research on Changes in Length of Day and Its Physical Mechanism on Sub-annual Time Scales’.
The report focused on changes in the length of day and its mechanism. After the report, the participants had a heated discussion on the mechanism and development trend, achieving good communication results.
